AN update
from our zeta president:
Good Morning Dear Friends,
Hoping all of you are well and looking forward to daylight savings with more sunshine.
I wanted to send out some information about the convention, our book collection, and updates on members. Please take your time and go through this information and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
First and foremost, is the convention info. Again, this will not be a live convention, but a virtual one. Great efforts have been made to make this an inspiring and communal experience. Please consider joining all of our DKG sisters in New Jersey.
I included the link for the newsletter because all the convention information is in it. Please go through it. Also, check out the DKG website if you still have questions. The newsletter has Jenn's poem in it, so if you have not read it, please do. Kudos to Jenn for her creative writing skills!

In the newsletter, it talks about the loss of funding because there will not be any basket raffles. These raffles fund the two areas: Designated Funds and Scholarship Funds. There is a registration fee button ($10) and an additional donation button to help replenish some of these funds.
As a chapter, we have decided to make a Zeta Contribution since we do not have to make/pay for baskets and convention responsibilities.
Lucille sent me this update:
We currently have a balance of $2,251.43. We need to make our usual contributions totaling $225.00. Once that is done we have a balance of $2,026.43. Seeing that we will not incur any expenses from the convention; such as hospitality suite and convention baskets/responsibilities we have an additional $500 + $300 respectively. I suggest that we donate the latter of $300 to DKG in these funds.
We are still collecting "For the Love of Books" and Susan and Linda are the co chairs. Thank you for taking this on. Books will be collected until May 1. You can drop them off at my house or at Linda's house. (PLEASE SEE EMAIL FOR ADDRESS INFORMATION.)
You do not have to separate books. The levels are Elementary K-5 and Middle 6-8. You need to include your name and number of books in the bag you donate because Linda and Sue are creating a spreadsheet.
Deliveries will be made to the Walnut Street School, Lakewood Middle School. If you have any questions please don't hesitate.
Just an FYI, Joanne had knee surgery this Monday so if you can send her get well wishes
I know we all hope to get together soon, and this might be a possibility in May or June? I will do my best to keep you updated and informed of any news. Please don't hesitate to contact me in regards to members or any information you might receive from some of the committees you are in contact with.
